Kurt Cobain (Baby Tape) 1969

Kurt Cobain (Baby Tape) 1969
Artist: Kurt Cobain
Date: 11/??/69
Location: Aunt Mary Earl's House, ???, WA, US

1. Gibberish (2:12)
2. Talking to Dad (1:09)
> Impersonation of car repair customer
3. Counting to 10 (0:49)
> Monkees Theme Tune
4. Talking (3:27)
> Hey Jude (The Beatles)
> Talking to Boddah

Additional Information: Recorded on a 'Reel To Reel' (Sony 606) tape player

Notes:
This rather peculiar tape was made by Kurt's aunt, Mary Earl.
It contains a 2 year old Cobain talking into the tape player, with the family listening to him in the background.
The reverb function is pushed on at one stage, where you can hear Kurt refer to "Boddah"
(he thinks it's Boddah talking, when it's fact his own voice being bounced back to him), his childhood imaginary friend
and the same person as to whom his suicide note was addressed to.
Contains a funny impersonation of a car repair customer (his Dad worked at a garage) and other amusing comments.

After a considerable break I’d like to share another master recording of mine with you. And what an amazing concert it was!
SAXON entered the stage like a thunderstorm and ignited a firework display of metal classics including some unexpected songs.
The crowd thanked them with enthusiasm! Take a closer look at the setlist and you surely understand why! The venue seemed to be
almost sold out, the sound was clear and my position was good (30 meters away centered from stage). So, the quality of the
recording is pretty good. Enjoy the show!

Yngwie Malmsteen - February 1983 Guitar Player Mag demo tape flac

Upped by tradefulhead

This is the demo tape Yngwie sent to Mike Varney for inclusion in his Guitar Player Magazine "Spotlight" column. He was 19 when he sent it, it appeared in the February 1983 issue.

This recording's source was my low generation cassette (Maxell XLII)... I captured it using a fairly crappy Roxio capture device, removed a layer of tape hiss with Audacity, and tracked it with CD WAV... At some point I may get a much nicer interface; and when that happens I may attempt to pull a better capture from my cassette... Meanwhile I haven't seen this on any trackers, please enjoy it for what it is :-)

My cassette was labeled like so:

Black Star
Now Your Ships Are Burned
Electric Duet
Plague in Lucifer's Mind
Far Beyond the Sun
Jammin' the Night Away
Merlin's Castle
Air
Soldier Without Faith
Improvised Solo
Dead Sun

the old drummer "Clive Burr" passed away this night too.

So, in memory of Clive, who left to us a years ago today,
I´ll give you this concert.

Paul "I've got a bigger sack than Santa" Di'Anno was in a splendid mood!
He revealed another Killers album was in the making (but I'll take that with a grain of salt though).

If you ask me, Paul IS the voice of Iron Maiden, but I still f**king love Blaze and/or Bruce.

I lost the original WAVs years ago in a HD crash and I don't know where the original tape is.
So I recently ripped a 2 CD-R copy I made years ago, and here it is. I was a few sections back
on the left side of the arena, near the middle of the section and somewhere on the left side
of my row. It's been too long and I don't remember exactly. Vinnie drumming with Soulfly is, as
best as I can remember it, Vinnie coming out and playing some huge drum while other people did the
same. I think it was just Vinnie from Pantera, and no one else from the band, but don't quote me
on any of what I've said on this subject, because I really don't remember that part that well. I'm
pretty sure I just saw Vinnie and hit the record button. I labeled it as well as I could, and if
anyone remembers better please let me know.

Pantera: not a lot to remember about this show...it was a 6200 mile road trip following the Black Crowes (10 shows) over ALL FOUR time zones (Lafayette LA thru San Diego, starting in Little Rock and ending in Vegas), and it started off with Soundgarden in Mesa AZ, with Rush (San Antonio), the Smashing Pumpkins (Dallas) and THIS little gem jammed between the Crowes Tulsa and Lafayette shows...14 shows in 17 days (November 30 (drive PHX > DAL) December 9 (drive AUS > PHX) and 11 (pure exhaustion, and drive PHX > LA) are the only 3 days from Nov 29 thru Dec 15 I was showless)..........it was loud...it was brutal...it was motherfucking Dimebag Darrell in his home state turning human face into devilburger. I believe this document backs me up. in motherfucking spades. your thoughts, dime(BAG)adozen audience?

balls OUT!:

Show comments:
Here's another set of shows from master taper Steve Hagar. He is my Alaskan contact. We first started trading around the early to mid 90's. He has a lot of great
Tesla recordings from all over the place. He's also got many great masters from Alaska which i'll be sharing too. If you have any shows from Alaska it's likely his recording.
Many thanks to him for letting me post his masters for everyone to enjoy, most of his recordings are outstanding quality.

Enjoy!

Show comments:
Intense set from the Vulgar tour opening for Skid Row. Features two songs with Rob Halford. Excellent recording.

First couple of shows from Master Taper Dennis Fuller. Went to many shows with Dennis back in the day, great guy. I was shocked when i talked to Dennis recently
that he no longer has any of his master tapes, he said they didn't make his last move so the only thing that remains are first generation copies. Many thanks to
him for letting me post his shows.

Enjoy!
Brian.
