I made plans to see the Mickey Hart Band on the 8th and hadn't intended on going to this show, but thanks to a very nice fan I was provided with a (great) ticket and was able to go. Also included is Kool and the Gang's set. Recorded from the floor, row 15 dead centre. Very little audience noise aside from applause in between songs. Most likely the only show of the tour printed to tape.

After Kool and the Gang's stuff was removed from the stage, there were pieces of portable flooring placed on the stage, which were then given a dusting with what looked like talcum powder. If I didn't know better from hearing the intro music on previous recordings, I would have thought the show started without any warning. I could also see Alex waiting behind some of the bass amps during the music.

Heads cleaned, demagnetized and adjusted. Tape flips patched with Sony ECM 44B > Sony PCM M10. Even though the tapes I used were basically brand new and never recorded on, the beginning of side B on both is pretty wrinkled, so I did what I could but You Really Got Me and Eddie's guitar solo sound a little mangled. And as far as Sony's lifetime warranty goes, they have no more cassettes to replace these. Time for a lawsuit? Not to worry as there's at least 2 or 3 other sources including my back up.

Thanks to the guy beside me for sharing and for keeping quiet after I showed him one of my recorders during the intro music ("Is that digital?"). The quality was good enough that I accidentally changed tapes rather than flip the first one, so the first tape is parts 1 + 3 while the second tape is part 2. Oops!

This recording should be played at the highest volume tolerable for maximum enjoyment. Artwork is included with the torrent.
